FieldWorks needs experienced petition circulators to help us talk to voters in Missouri.

TRAVEL CREW IS AVAILABLE TO SELECT FORMER FIELDWORKS CANVSSERS BY INVITATION ONLY. COMPLETING AN APPLICATION AND ONLINE INTERVIEW DOES NOT GUARANTEE A SPOT ON THE TRAVEL TEAM. IF SELECTED TO TRAVEL TO MISSOURI, A MEMBER OF THE TRAVEL TEAM WILL BE IN TOUCH TO CONFIRM DETAILS.

You must be available to fly immediately and stay through Wednesday, April 29.

COMPENSATION

  • FieldWorks Provided roundtrip transportation to Missouri and back to your home city 
  • Hotel room 100% covered as long as you work 38+ hours per week
  • $25/shift meals and expenses stipend issued daily via paycard
  • $24/hour for canvassers & $27/hour for team leaders
  • Overtime is available for hours over 40 per week
  • 8 hour daily shifts available
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • You must travel in FieldWorks arranged transportation to Missouri
  • You must follow all FieldWorks Office and Staff Policies and the policies of your assigned hotel
  • You must complete the Travel Crew MOU and follow the directives of both the FieldWorks Travel Team and your Office Director
  • You must bring the appropriate I-9 documents with you to Missouri for onboarding

A member of the Travel Team will reach out to you if you are selected to travel with us. If selected, the Travel Team will be in touch to coordinate your travel arrangements. 

More Travel Details

Travel To & From Missouri

  • A member of the Travel Team will book your transportation to and from Missouri. 
  • You may not change your flight after it is booked. Changing a flight will result in the flight being canceled and a repalcement flight will not be provided. 
  • You must travel back to your home state on 4/29 in order for your flight to be covered by FieldWorks.
  • FieldWorks will pay for 1 checked bag to Missouri and 1 checked bag back to your home state. (Bags must meet airline size requirements and weigh less than 50lbs). You will not be reimbursed for additional bags or oversize bags. 
  • FieldWorks will not reimburse for seat upgrades or seat selection fees. 

Uber 

  • Uber vouchers will be used for travel while on the Travel Crew. If you are unable to use uber vouchers we will NOT be able reimburse for any other methods of travel. 
  • You will be provided with 3 vouchers for your travel day to Missouri and 3 vouchers for your travel day back to your home state. These will be issued to you the night before you travel and will expire after arrival in Missouri or arrival back in home state. 
  • If there is not a shuttle provided and travel to a FieldWorks office is required, you will be provided 1 voucher for each shift worked to travel to/from the  office. These will be issued to you on Sunday for shifts scheduled that week.
  • Vouchers provided for the purposes of travel to and from the office will have drop off and pick up restrictions limiting use to the office/hotel. 
  • Additionally, you will recieve 1 personal use uber voucher for every 2 (7.5+ hour) shifts worked. These vouchers will be $25 and will be issued on Sunday based on shifts scheduled for the week. 

Hotel

  • Your hotel will be covered if you work 38+ hours/week. 
  • If you do not work 38+ hours/week you will be responsible for a prorated portion of your hotel for the week. 
  • Hotel overpayment will be deducted from your final check.

Per Diem

  • You will receive a $25/shift per diem for each (7.5+ hour) shift  worked. 
  • Per Diem will only be issued via Wisely Paycard
  • Per Diem will be issued daily after check out from your shift.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I travel with friends or family?

No. Only FieldWorks employees can travel in the transportation and stay in the housing.

What can/should I bring with me?

You should only bring the items you need for the trip. FieldWorks will only pay for 1 checked bag. Remember you’ll be canvassing so comfortable shoes and clothing (and your original I-9 documents). Remember that all of the office policies apply during the entire time you’re on the travel team so no weapons, pets, or other prohibited items.

Will I get to choose which location in Missouri I’m assigned?

No. We’ll assign you to your location.

Can I choose what hotel I stay in?

No need to worry about that! We have arranged housing for you in hotels close to your assigned office location.

Do I need to stay the entire duration?

Yes. However if you have a situation that limited your ability to stay the entire time, please reach out to the Travel Team

Are my meals covered?

They are not, however you’ll receive a $25/shift stipend for each 7.5+ hour shift worked. These stipends will be paid daily on a paycard after checkout.

How will I get to the office each day?

It will vary based on what office you are assigned to and the travel team will confirm your specific details.

Will I get paid for my travel time?

You will not be paid for your travel time, however all travel arrangements will need to be covered.
